The Session for Children is modelled on the Bridges Dolmuș concept as a one-hour format and can be repeated several times in schools or at festivals.
The session begins with an opener by Bridges musicians. The audience then becomes the orchestra itself:
The children learn the basic playing techniques of the tenbur, darbuka and tongue drum and jam together with the professional musicians in a mini-orchestra. To do so, they learn specially composed pieces based on rhythms such as Nayabinghi, Bossa Nova or Zaidi. No prior instrumental training is necessary, and children are very welcome.
